In April of 2021, the pandemic was at a fever pitch but help was right around the corner…if you could get to it.
Uber donated 10 million rides to help everyone in underserved communities get access to the vaccine. But we needed a bigger way to get the message across.
To help raise awareness of our commitment to Vaccines Access, we partnered with Spike Lee and Tyler Mitchell to launch Vaccinate the Block. This integrated campaign launched on TV across US and Canada, was fed through digital and social channels and was complimented by a sister influencer campaign on Instagram to help continue the dialogue around vaccine access quell fears about vaccine untruths. We also targeted high traffic areas in Chicago and NY with large OOH billboards to raise awareness and get people to donate to the Vaccine Access Fund to offer even more free rides to vaccines.
