A new take on data visualization, the Smart Grid site illustrated the differences between the antiquated US power grid and the newer, “smarter” grid that GE is currently implementing across the country. A noteworthy aspect of this site is the augmented reality piece. This was the first case of an easily adoptable example of AR, purposed to showcase the Smart Grid by holding an interactive hologram in your hand.
