Project Description:
This was truly a dream assignment. To promote the opening of the new building of the Salvador Dali Museum on January 1, 2011, we teamed up with retro photo app wunderkinds Hipstamatic to create The Dali Museum Goodpack. The 99¢ download let users create their own every-day versions of Dali-inspired surrealism inside the Hipstamatic app. All proceeds from the app went directly to the Dali Museum. To make it even more interesting, legendary filmmaker John Waters selected nine finalists from the plethora of user-generated Dali-esque images. On the museum’s opening night, those finalists images were projected onto the new building and the Best of Show winner was flown in for the big event.

Doritos Late Night Rihanna

Last year’s Late Night site was big. Augmented reality performances by Blink-182 and Big Boi. This year, the Doritos Late Night team took things further and created a global promotion site that features 360-degree videos from several incredible bands around the globe, as well as a breakout performance, and experience, featuring the one and only Rihanna. The interactive music video showcases Rihanna in “Day” and “Night” settings that are only accessible (and seamlessly unlocked) by using a marker found on Doritos Late Night bags.

Battle of the Cheetos

Are you Team Crunchy or Team Puffs? Battle of Cheetos was a fun, zany, massive multiplayer game where users had to choose a side, create an army and fight for the control of different sites all across the web. Sites like Gizmodo, Boing-Boing, Mashable, Digg or Kotaku were the main battlegrounds at launch but players had the ability to add their own sites as well. To gain control of each site, players had to fight battle after battle, form alliances and keep leveling up. Additionally, players got to manage their troops, weapons inventory and could unlock many new characters with unique weapons and attacks, as well as special game changing weapons that could quickly turn a battle in their favor. So, the only question left is, which side are you?

Knowing how rabid the Madden franchise gaming community is, EA and Doritos joined forces to allow consumers to vote for who will appear on the cover of the upcoming 20111 Madden NFL video game. To make it even more interesting, Doritos also offered a chance to win a trip for two to the NFL draft this April. Without any online media driving to it, or even the need to make a purchase to enter the contest, the site was a huge win for consumers and gamers alike.

Project Description:
Hyundai had enjoyed great success with the launch of its 4 door Genesis sedan, but very few knew of its 2 door sporty brother. In an effort to let consumers really get to know this sports car, we outfitted a Genesis coupe with a dozen or so lipstick cameras and filmed the car screaming around a track. Then we took all of the edited footage, added music, supers, transitions, filters and more, and allowed consumers to create their own spot. The winning spot would be aired on national TV.

Smart Grid

A new take on data visualization, Smart Grid illustrated the differences between the antiquated US power grid and the newer, “smarter” grid that GE is currently implementing across the country. A noteworthy aspect of this site is the augmented reality piece. This was the first case of an easily adoptable example of AR, purposed to showcase the Smart Grid by holding an interactive hologram in your hand.
